Our objectives, our values and our fresh approach
Our objective
Our objective is to safeguard the Sainte-Marie as a sustainable world class acadian heritage site, economic driver and vibrant community resource by transforming into a heritage tourism destination and hub of Acadian culture sustained by multiple public and private and public revenue streams.

Our values
Collaboration, community engagement, innovation and creativity, a well as respect for the heritage value of the site.
Sainte-Marie is of tremendous importance for all of Acadie. With its unique architecture, this heritage site has the potential of becoming a pillar of the tourism industry with national and international appeal. We strive for our success to be mutually beneficial to other tourism sites in South-West Nova Scotia.

Our fresh approach
We view Sainte-Marie's future as a living place, generating income and serving new purposes for the community that built it and the tourism industry.
Our approach to funding is based on viewing Sainte-Marie's restoration as a long-term project sequenced by priorities, rather than an all-or-nothing funding strategy.
Sainte-Marie was built by volunteers. We believe it can be saved through a combination of diverse initiatives, with contributions from across the community. By blending corporate fundraising, public and philanthropic grants, and leveraging creative contributions (including in-kind, pro bono, and at-cost services as well as programs for professional training in heritage building and restoration), we can unite efforts towards a shared vision of preserving and revitalizing this important site.
